CO₂ laser and Vector FL60 fibre laser in a workshop — education machinery from Mantech

Schools, colleges & universities

Education Machinery for Ireland

CNC routers and CO₂ lasers for schools, colleges and training centres. We install the machine and train your staff.

Schools and colleges most often specify Desktop or Pro 6090 CO₂ platforms. See the full CO₂ laser range for format options. Plan classroom fumes with the CO₂ extraction guide. Review a Dublin secondary school 90130 install and plan upkeep with the maintenance guide.

  • Already in Irish schools and colleges

A secondary school in Dublin has a Lasertech 90130. A boys’ school in Ireland has a Lasertech 4060. A college in Ennis has a Spartan CNC router. Ask us and we can put you in touch with a department that already uses the machine.

  • We install it and train your staff

Tell us the room, the materials and the course. We will say which machine fits, then install it and train the staff before students use it.

  • One number after the install

Parts, consumables and training for the next member of staff. Call (+353) 83 804 8820.

A secondary school in Dublin runs a Lasertech 90130. A college in Ennis runs a Spartan. Tell us the course and the room, and we will say which machine fits. See the installations, the education warranty plan, and the applications hub.

CO₂ lasers for schools & colleges

Plan the classroom laser before it arrives

Plan the room before the Lasertech arrives: materials, extraction and who on the staff will be trained. Desktop for a small classroom. Pro when the sheets or the daily hours outgrow it.

  • Enclosed Class 1 operation

Lasertech CO₂ machines are enclosed, with interlocks. That is Class 1 while the lid stays shut. Bypass the interlocks and it is Class 4. Leave them on.

  • Extraction or filtration

Extraction to atmosphere is standard. If the room cannot vent outside, ask about Purex or BOFA filtration.

  • Room, materials and staff training

Tell us the materials before we quote. Acrylic, timber and card are the usual ones. Some plastics must not be cut. We train the staff who will run the machine.

  • Desktop or Pro

Desktop is 500 × 300 mm and 80W. Use it when the room is small. Pro is the step up when the sheets or the hours get bigger.

Education support

What the department gets

The machine arrives, we install it, and your staff are trained on it. Warranty, extraction and software are agreed then.

  • Longer warranty

Ask about cover past the first year if the department needs the machine in use every week.

  • Service visits

A service agreement is for planned visits, not only a call when the machine has stopped.

  • Access into the building

Some machines split down so they will go through a school doorway. Tell us the access before we quote.

  • Staff training

We train the people who will run the machine. When someone new joins, we can train them too.

  • Consumables

Mirrors, lenses, tubes, router bits and acrylic. The Ireland team can identify the part.

  • Software on the machine

CO₂ lasers include LightBurn. CNC routers include VCarve Pro. Fibre lasers use CypCut.

  • Enclosed CO₂ lasers

Lasertech CO₂ machines are enclosed Class 1 systems with interlocks. If the interlocks are bypassed, the machine is Class 4. Leave the interlocks on.

  • Extraction

Extraction to atmosphere is standard. If the room cannot vent outside, ask about Purex or BOFA filtration.

  • Installation by the Ireland team

We deliver the machine, install it and train your staff. Call (+353) 83 804 8820.

  • Finance

Ask the Ireland team about finance if the department needs to spread the cost.

  • What students learn on

Students use the same sort of machine a workshop uses: CO₂, CNC, fibre and sheet metal.

  • A larger machine later

When the course grows, we can look at a larger bed or more power. You do not have to start there.

Departments & courses

Where schools and colleges use the machines

  • Design & technology

Design, woodwork and technology. Prototypes and project work in secondary schools and further education.

  • Fabrication

Sheet metal and woodwork in the same department. A router for timber. A press brake or guillotine when the job is metal.

  • Art & design

Engraving and cutting for art. Acrylic, timber and card on a CO₂ laser.

  • Engineering schools

CNC, fibre and sheet metal for engineering courses. The Apollo 4-axis is there when the part needs a side cut in the same setup.
