As many of you know, September marks almost one year since we sadly lost our much-loved friend and colleague, Kieran Davenport.

Kieran was a valued member of the Mantech family, and he remains greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. Kind, funny and generous with his time, he was always ready to take on a new challenge — and he meant an enormous amount to his family, friends and colleagues.

Honouring Kieran with the National Three Peaks Challenge

To honour Kieran’s memory, we are once again taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge. We set off on Friday 11th September 2026 and aim to complete the challenge on Saturday 12th September, finishing with the final climb of Snowdon — where we will be joined by Kieran’s family.

Kieran completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in 2025. Taking on the same mountains in his memory feels like a fitting tribute: physically demanding, shared with the people who loved him, and rooted in the outdoors he cared about.

What is the National Three Peaks Challenge?

The National Three Peaks Challenge means climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours — with long drives between each peak.

  • Ben Nevis (Scotland) — 1,345 m (4,413 ft)
  • Scafell Pike (England) — 978 m (3,209 ft)
  • Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (Wales) — 1,085 m (3,560 ft)

Teams cover more than 20 miles on foot and a large elevation gain, then add hundreds of miles of driving between the mountains. It is a hard test of stamina, teamwork and mental grit — and this year it is also a day of remembrance.

Raising money for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team

This year, we are raising money for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is an entirely volunteer-led charity that provides an incredible service to people who need help in the mountains. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area, the team is made up of experienced volunteer mountaineers who give their time, skill and courage when callouts come in — often in difficult weather and terrain.

As a registered charity, they rely entirely on donations to keep that work going. Supporting them feels especially right as we finish the challenge on Snowdon with Kieran’s family.
