Eco-Friendly Products & Sustainable Design

Beevive

The story

Beevive had developed a brilliant eco-conscious product — a DIY bee hotel. While popular in concept, the cost of subcontracting the cutting work made it difficult to offer the product at a wholesale price that would attract retailers. This limited their ability to scale the business.

Sustainable product businesses often start with engraving and small-batch cutting before they need full production capacity. Browse desktop CO₂ ranges for maker-scale output, the applications hub for eco-product sectors, and installations from UK workshops at a similar growth stage.

By investing in a LaserTech 90130 from Mantech, Beevive brought production in-house. Not only did this reduce manufacturing costs by 33%, but it also gave the team complete control over the process, ensuring consistency and flexibility.

The impact was immediate. The machine paid for itself in just 6 months, while also opening the door to new creative opportunities. Today, Beevive use their LaserTech for everything from event signage and point-of-sale displays to manufacturing their eco-friendly product range. Their POS stands can now be found in over 250 stores across the UK — all cut and crafted on their own machine.
