CAB Animal Transit Boxes

The story

Before investing in CNC and laser machinery, CAB Animal Transit Boxes were facing challenges with consistency across their products. Producing repeatable, accurate components at scale was difficult without the right equipment, which limited efficiency and quality control.

Combining routing and laser cutting on one workflow is common when panels, foam inserts and branded parts share a production queue. See the Apollo ATC range for multi-tool routing, CO₂ laser platforms for acrylic and timber work, and installations from UK fabricators running both processes daily.

To address this, the company invested in an A9 1530 CNC Router alongside a LaserTech CO₂ Laser fitted with a RECI tube. This combination gave them the precision and repeatability needed to manufacture their products consistently, while also providing flexibility across different materials and components.

Both machines are now used daily to produce dog transportation boxes and gun drawer units for customers including dog walkers, professional dog transporters, and the security sector — including Police and Prison services. Over five years of use, the machines have proven extremely reliable, helping CAB maintain consistent quality without unexpected downtime.
