We have installed a TRM LWH1500-P 1.5 kW fibre laser welder for a fabrication customer in Wokingham, together with a fully interlocked protective enclosure.
The 1.5 kW water-cooled platform is a good fit for everyday stainless and mild steel work. A single wire feeder comes as standard, so operators can move between jobs without adding extra kit on day one.
Why the enclosure matters
TRM fibre laser welders are Class 4 laser systems. A welding screen on its own does not make a safe working area. This enclosure gives the shop a controlled bay, with a viewing window, door interlocks and a status light so the rest of the floor stays outside the process.
Compare the TRM G3 fibre laser welders , then read the buyer’s guide for power, cooling and Class 4 planning. The open fibre laser safety guide covers the enclosure and controlled-area work this Wokingham job needed.
What the customer is using it for
The work is everyday fabrication — cleaner corner and seam welds with less heat into the sheet. On close-fitting stainless and mild steel, that usually means less dressing and less distortion than a typical TIG run on the same joint.
Specification, install and training
We specified the welder and the enclosure together, then delivered, commissioned and trained the operators on site. After handover, Mantech stays on for technical help, servicing and spare parts.
